The Questions Tracy is Frequently Asked (FAQ)!
How tall are you?
183cm or 6ft 1" in the old language. I still can't relate to metric height!
Are you a Perth girl?
No! I'm an English girl who came to Australia when I was 3. We lived on a migrant hostel for 2 years and moved to Dandenong, on the outskirts of Melbourne, when I was 5.
My mother still lives there. I moved to Perth in 1992 when I met and fell in love with my 2nd husband David Missingham.
By the way, I became an Australian citizen in 1996, in Fremantle, WA.
Are you a vegetarian?
I was for 6 years, a long time ago. These days I eat organic food and any meat is biodynamic or free range.
Who is your hairdresser?
I have been going to DCS for Hair in Malvern for 10 years. They use De Lorenzo hair colours, bleaches and take home products, which are all cruelty free and Australian made. I wholeheartedly recommend my hairdressers; they are fabulous people and total artists in their work.
DCS For Hair, 59a Glenferrie Road, Malvern. Phone (03)9576 1788.
What is the cruelty free thing you are always raving about?
I believe that, as humans, we have no right to test cosmetic products on helpless animals for our own vanity.
www.choosecrueltyfree.org.au lists hundreds of ethically made products for which no animal has suffered.
Please shop with a conscience.
Why don't you drink alcohol?
Because I came to understand that I was powerless over alcohol and admitted to myself that I was an alcoholic. I have been sober since Christmas 2002. I'm really proud of that.
What's that poem you used to read on the first day of school?
If you google 'dear world, I bequeath to you' you will find the poem in its original form by Victor Buono. I first heard the poem when I was working with a radio announcer in Perth.
